The most useful messages are corrections: a page that misstates what a source says, a link that no longer supports the claim next to it, or guidance that has been revised since the page was written.

For region-specific questions about your own garden, such as a pest you can't identify or a soil test you want interpreted, your state's extension office is the better first stop. Most run a Master Gardener help line or diagnostic lab. Pages on the site explain how to read a soil test report and where to start with a pest problem.
